Therapies offered

Finding the right therapist and the right type of therapy can make a difference…

Integrative therapy is a unifying approach to therapeutic work which draws on different

orientations of psychotherapy and knowledge from the field of psychology.

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that can help you manage your

problems by changing the way you think and behave. It helps people to understand how

thoughts, behaviours, emotions and physical sensations interact.

Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) is a type of mindful talking therapy that helps you stay focused on the present moment and accept thoughts and feelings without judgment. It aims to help people to think more flexibly so that they can work towards living according to their values.

Psychodynamic therapy helps people to understand how their feelings and behaviour are shaped by past experiences and the unconscious mind and impulses. It uses what the client and therapist notice about the therapeutic relationship to understand how we relate to ourselves and others.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) helps people to process negative images, emotions, beliefs and body sensations associated with traumatic memories. These unprocessed memories can contribute to a range of mental health problems. EMDR aids the natural processing of stuck memories, so that people can make sense of them.
